The Joseph D'Addio Fund
"Just Do It"
The Joseph D'Addio Fund, a program of the NJ Sharing Network Foundation, was created to raise funds to increase outreach to multicultural communities in New Jersey about the critical need and importance of registering to be an organ and tissue donor. The Joseph D'Addio Fund was created to celebrate the life of Joseph D'Addio, a loving father, husband and friend to so many.
At the age of 50, Joe suffered a brain hemorrhage, after days in the hospital, Joe passed away. In his final hour, he had the ability to save and enhance the lives of over 70 people through organ and tissue donation. One of Joe’s kidney recipients wrote to the D’Addio family and shared, “Please find comfort in knowing that I do not and will never take your precious gift for granted. This organ transplant has drastically improved my quality of life and I am now looking forward to many years with my son and future grandchildren.”
