Ways to Give

You can make a lasting impact in the lives of those touched by organ and tissue donation and transplantation. From making a contribution in honor or memory of a loved one, to leaving a legacy through planned giving, you can make a difference and help save lives.

Obituary Suggestions/In Lieu of Flowers

Below is an example of how you can thoughtfully incorporate "In Lieu of Flowers" messaging into an obituary, inviting friends and family to make meaningful contributions to our foundation.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made to the Sharing Network Foundation. The Foundation supports the mission of the NJ Sharing Network, which facilitates the recovery and placement of donated organs and tissues to those in need of lifesaving transplants. Your generosity will help save lives in honor/memory of [Name].

Contributions can be made online at:
www.SharingNetworkFoundation.org/Contribute

Or by mail to:
Sharing Network Foundation
691 Central Ave,
New Providence, NJ 07974.

Support the Annual Fund

The Annual Fund is essential to the continued success of our mission. Your contribution directly supports our Foundation’s programs and initiatives. Unlike event registrations, 100% of your donation to the Annual Fund is tax-deductible!

As you plan your annual and year-end giving, consider making a contribution to our Foundation’s Annual Fund.

The Giving Circles recognition program acknowledges cumulative annual giving. Members receive special communications and invitations to programs and are included in our Annual Impact Report.

Planned Giving

Planned giving offers a meaningful way to help you meet your financial and charitable goals. To discuss the best options for you, we recommend contacting your personal tax advisor, certified financial planner or estate attorney.

We are proud to partner with King Financial to assist our supporters in their charitable giving and estate planning. If you are considering a planned gift, or if you have questions about donor-advised funds, beneficiary designations, or gifts of stock, we encourage you to reach out to King Financial for a complimentary advising session. Their team of experts can guide you through the process, helping you structure a gift that aligns with both your financial goals and your charitable vision.

Contact Rosh Ramiz at King Financial to schedule your session and discover how you can make a lasting impact through your legacy gift.

Bequest

A bequest is a gift made through your will or trust. Bequests are flexible and can be modified at any time. If you choose to include a gift to our Foundation in your estate plans, you may consider using the following suggested language:

"I give to the Sharing Network Foundation, a nonprofit corporation currently headquartered at 691 Central Avenue, New Providence, NJ 07974, EIN 20-2737719, or its successor thereto, $______ for its unrestricted charitable use and purpose."

Gifts of Stock and High Appreciated Assets

When you donate long-term appreciated assets, such as stocks or bonds, you can potentially receive tax benefits, including:

    • A charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the donated securities.
    • No capital gains tax on the appreciation of the asset, allowing you to bypass taxes you would otherwise incur if you sold the stock.

To transfer stocks and bonds to the Sharing Network Foundation, email us at contactus@sharingnetworkfoundation.org, and we will provide the information to complete the transfer.

Charitable Gives from your IRA

When individuals take a distribution from their IRAs, it typically counts as taxable income. However, Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), also known as IRA Charitable Rollovers, are a special exception to this rule.

For individuals age 70½ or older, up to $100,000 per year can be distributed directly from an IRA to a qualifying 501(c)(3) organization, such as the Sharing Network Foundation, without the amount being counted as taxable income.

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)

Donor Advised Funds (DAFs) offer a flexible and efficient way for individuals to support causes they care about while receiving immediate tax benefits. By contributing to a DAF, individuals can make a charitable gift now and recommend grants to organizations, such the Sharing Network Foundation, over time. This allows for strategic giving and the potential to grow the fund through investment, maximizing the impact of each contribution. If you have a Donor-Advised Fund, we invite you to consider recommending a grant to the Sharing Network Foundation.

Matching Gifts

Many companies set aside special funds each year to match contributions their employees make to qualified non-profit organizations, such as our Foundation. Most often, companies match contributions dollar for dollar, but matches can vary. The Sharing Network Foundation’s EIN is 20-2737719. (Most companies will ask for this number on their matching gift forms.)
